Well what an exciting, hectic headache the last year has been.
However, we have come through it (successfully if the feedback forms are anything to go by) as a new committee organising our first folk festival.

After a short respite we have held our de-brief meeting and are full of enthusiasm about Moira Furnace Folk Festival 2010, we have already held our first fundraising event.

Plans are in full swing with lots of ideas about acts, workshops, sessions, ceilidhs, Morris etc. so watch this space!

A great big thank you to all artists and MCs who performed for very little or even nothing at all. Our funds are low and will be for a few years yet so without your generosity we would not have been able to run this event.
Thanks to all those who had faith and attended the festival, we hope we see you again in 2010. Thanks also for filling in all those feedback forms, they are a great help and all comments are being taken on board. We aim to make 2010 even better but intend to keep our festival intimate and affordable.

In signing off as Chairman 2009 I would like to thank all members of the committee, all helpers, stewards and such and a special mention to Dave Johns, the inspiration for the MFFF.
